About the Author
Ernesto Montellano Salazar, Jr. (Ernie) was born in Glendale, California, a suburb of Los Angeles. Growing up surrounded by extended family, he enlisted with the United States Army and served in Post-World War II Germany. He enjoyed a long, fruitful career with Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) as a Mechanical Maintenance Foreman, providing for his family as it continues to grow.

The Special Edition features 50+ photographs from Ernesto’s original manuscript. All the high-resolution color images, most of which have never been seen, highlight and illustrate the journey each reader embarks on with Ernesto as he narrates his enriching story.
Two additional Appendices are included, which provide helpful context and expanded material.
Lastly, three family trees append the book and showcase the growth of Ernesto’s family all the way up the modern day. Stretching back to the late-1700’s, they provide a clear picture of how his family evolved over the centuries.
